The property market in the Aude
The market is still soft, still a buyers' market. There's a buyer for every house but it can take time for them to find you. You don't need to have a lot of people see your property, you need to have the right person see it.
The demand for Aude properties at the high end of the market - €500,000 pus - is picking up after languishing for a few years.
Demand for 3 and 4 bedroom houses with gardens, and not needing anywork, is strong at about the €150,000 to €225,000 levels.
Demand is steady at the low end - under €125,000 - but buyers are picky.
Remember that everyone is looking for outdoor space.
It can take a long time to sell a village house with no outdoor space.
