 Here it is, the ideal vacation home. Charming, low maintenance, in a village with amenities. It's being sold fully equipped. All you need to bring is a suitcase.
This is the perfect combination of modern convenience and original charm. The renovation is excellent and many features have been saved or recreated. There's an original stone sink in a niche in the lounge, a lovely exposed arch in the kitchen, and another in the stairwell, the stairs are a traditional Languedoc curved style, the ground floor has been tiled in tomette - traditional terra cotta tiles. Some of the interior walls are exposed stone. This is one of the best renovations I've seen; the attention to detail is fabulous.
There is about 90m2 living space on three floors. On the ground floor there's an eat-in kitchen with built-in dishwasher, ceramic hob, and washing machine. The sitting room has exposed stone walls.

Montlaur is a wine-producing village in the Corbieres, about 20 minutes south east of Carcassonne. It has a small supermarket, a bakery, a grocery, a bar/café, a pharmacy and an excellent butcher.
